Look, I understand that the boys deserve a break, hell they deserve a year off at this point, but when it comes down to it, this is a legitimate concern because this is their job, to perform and put on the best show possible.
Katy Perry started rehearsal weeks ago for the Super Bowl half time show, and that’s 20 minutes, not 8 months.
I don’t care if they’re putting on the exact same show as WWA, you still need to practice, even Paul McCartney who’s been singing the same songs for 40 years manages to do it.
Last year they rehearsed for a month and people still had complaints about the shows and look at how often Harry (and Louis) were sick and losing their voices. You know what prevents that? Rehearsing! Exercising your voice so this doesn’t happen.
The ‘biggest band on the planet’ doesn’t practice for a handful of days in December (which was for Xfactor and their other live performances) and none of them, including the backing band have been in the same place at the same time since SNL.
So,19 days until tour starts. There’s still time, yes. But is it enough time? I guess we will see. And if it doesn’t happen at all, I will guarantee you people will be upset about it if the first couple of shows don’t go as well as they should, including the people who were excusing them not having to rehearse at all.
